Re: NEW - Meguiar's Grit Guard

This is pretty cool. It's the original now Marketed by Meguiar's... same patent number. These things are well built and a very clever, yet simple design. Glad to see people will be doing less damage while washing their vehicles.

I never even thought about stacking them as the packaging suggests.

Re: NEW - Meguiar's Grit Guard

I'm guessing Meguiars bought the patent for the product and/or the "Grit Guard" company?

Re: NEW - Meguiar's Grit Guard

I built my own. I took 2 of the size bucket, drilled holes in one and then put one bucket inside the other. Like the McDonalds commercial says " Works for Me "
I got so mad at a girl who was texting while she was driving, that I rolled down my window and threw my beer at her

Hey MOL members... to be clear, Meguiar's has not purchased Grit Guard Inc. For years we have promoted the use of their product in our car care clinics...in fact we used to sell them in our Brilliant Solutions catalog. We worked with them to develop a Grit Guard specifically available through Meguiar's. We are proud to have this available in our family of surface care solutions.

It genuinely reduces exposure to swirl inducing abrasives. Combine the Grit Guard- double stacked, along with any Meguiar's Car Wash in addition to the Microfiber Wash Mitt (X3002) and you have the ULTIMATE wash system....there is simply nothing better.

Wooo! Nice seeing it with a Meguiar's name on it! (i saw it a day early hehe)

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                      Remove swirls my friends.

Now all we need is a couple of 5 gallon buckets with the meguiars logo and we'll be good to go !

Other than the color, is there any difference from the regular grit guard?

Why is it only the video demo people have these?
