  • D180 Application Questions

I have black leather seats in my truck and when I apply D180 with a foam applicator pad it leaves a very shinny finish. Am I supposed to use a microfiber towel and wipe the seat down after I apply D180 with a Foam Application Pad? I do however like the shinny finish and it makes sliding in and out of the truck much easier.

I am slow asking this because my Dad just purchased a new 2013 BMW 238i Convertible with black leather seats and his seats have a dull flat finish and I was wondering if using D180 to condition them would be a bad idea.

Also does D180 have any UV protection? Can I use just D180 or do I have to follow up with something else?

    Thanks,
    Jason

Yes give it a final buff with MF towel to knock down the shine. Not sure if it contains UV protection. Most modern leathers are coated so the products don't penetrate the coating.

Depending upon your area, weather and vehicle usage I condition my leather once a year and maintain with wipe downs using Meg's quick interior detailer.
