Hey guys, newbie here with just a few questions. How aggressive is this stuff and whats meant by "clear coat safe". I recently polished two cars with it. One turned out great. The other... well the old rotary left holograms so im going to pick up a dual action so I was curious as to how badly I had beaten up the clear coat... Thanks

UC is a pretty aggressive product.....

If memory serves, UC is not labeled to be used with a Rotary, doesn't mean it wont hurt.

As far as your holograms.....Depending on hardness of your clear coat or paint if you will, UC can be used by hand easily to get out a lot of problems. Our Neon has a hard as nails clear coat and I was able to correct swirls in it with UC and SwirlX by hand easily.

A PC with UC is a great combo long as in your dialing in process shows you need it.

Always start with least aggressive approach, a rotary on one car may not be needed on another.

All of Meguiar's products are clear coat safe as when the clear coat craze came in, I think people were afraid to use products when single stage paints came in. Most cars are clear coat nowadays.

When you get your PC, get some SwirlX as well and give it a whirl with your PC and see if it gets out the holograms, if it doesn't then move up the scale. Do this in a test spot of course so you don't do your whole car and not like the results. Also, M105/M205 knockout combo are great products as well. M83 and M80 are my old standbys too!
