how come when i put this stuff on my vinyl soft top, i apply it and then when i spread it on it i get long white streaks, is it that i am putting to much on the foam applicator. i don't know why this is happening

I have found that I need to do atleast 2 coats to get the best shine w/ the NXT protectant. It seems that on hard plastic surfaces, I get some smearing. If I let the NXT sit for a while (overnite sometimes) and go over it again, the streaks disappear. I can't get over the look of my interior w/ multiple coats, not too shinny, not greasy, just perfect
