  • I Finally Tried NXT

The snow stopped flying and the temp was above 50 here in WI so I decided to try out the NXT of the hood of my car. It's a '90 VW Corrado w/ dark blue metallic paint and it has more than it's share of swirls & what-not. Normally I use #7 followed up by #26 and I can say the NXT is as good by itself as those two together. Now, the swirls aren't entirely gone, but I'm sure a coat of #7 beforehand will make it look even better. It went on and came off real easy just like everyone else has said. My one complaint is that it seems to attract dust like a magnet. Maybe Meguiar's needs to negatively charge the ions in the wax or something

You've mentioned a couple of other GREAT Meguiar's products in your original post (#7 & #26).

I found that topping the NXT with #26 makes the paint look even deeper... I know, it's tough to imagine but, it really did work for me! I don't think that the NXT/#26 combo can be beat!

I agree with vwguy -- the NXT alone gives me the shine i get from a 2 or 3 step treatment but i think next time i'm going to use #7 under the NXT and i think that will make the color really pop.

Thanks! It does, I wish I had a good pic to show it off, it even has a bit of a purple flip to it in certain light. One of these days I'll borrow a digi cam from a friend and snap a few.

I wanted to put another coat of NXT on today, but the temp has dipped down to 26

I am sure your G-60 looks great.

Just my thoughts here, but I seem to remember reading from Mike or someone that NXT will effectively clean off anything laid down under it?

If that is the case, then the #7 would go bye-bye pretty quick.

              Anyone?
