  • Feedback: convertable top cleaner

I attended the TNOG last night and was able to check out the new products and noticed the convertible top cleaner. In reading the bottle I did not find anything about UV protection listed in the new product. I did a search on one of the forums that I belong to, that is an international forum, and found that in Europe there is a UV/water restant product there. Summer is coming and I need to get ready. TIA

It was nice meeting you last night! Anyways, Meguiar's has a canvas protectant from their Marine line called M72. However, they discontinued it sometime around 2009. There are still some shops who have the product around, so I would snatch up as many as I could before they are all gone.

Here are some places that still have them:

Here is a good write-up on canvas protectant and cleaner:

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Thank you for the links and the information. Just thought it a bit funny that a new product is out and part 2 of the process did not show up as well.

I use Raggtopp on my soft top.
