ps I'll be ready, so put me to work.
    Very good Scott!

You've been on my A-List of people to call, just haven't gotten to it yet. If you e-mail me a phone number I can reach you at I'll give you a call this week.

Because the old ShowCarGarage.com website resides in a box somewhere, I have no easy way to recover the write-ups from that event without spending a couple of hundred dollars, but one of these days I will resurrect it as a read-only forum.

Until then, I'm searching my hard-drive for some photos from that event... You're right in that it was a lot of fun to work on those cars, there was the 1951 Allard, the 1 of 10 special Carrol Shelby Cobra's built, and the Ford GT40 from Australia (I think).

I'll see what I can do once I get there and catch-up with Mike Kennedy, he's a super cool friend that can make even the impossible possible.

Hey no worries, I had some good luck today. The Camaro's located along the west end of the event. At the very South West end before all the motor homes there's a tend that has a generator running to power some computers inside. Of course the generator was powering a very small load for it's capacity and there was some space near by so I just drove the car over and went to work for a couple of hours.

Made it look at least a thousand dollars better!

Ohh yeah, and I may have not been clear. The Pavillions show is at Indiand Bend, which is about 5 miles south of Barret Jackson.

I should also warn you, unlike the last couple of years where we delt with rain and mud this year it's dry and dusty. The grass is all dead and every time a golf cart or car drives by it kicks up dust and dry grass. You can dust off a car and by the time you get done the first panels are already dusty again. I burned through a bottle of last touch today to buff the car.
        Later,
        Ricky
