I was helping a mate wash his R-32 today so we could do a bit of this:
(OK I was just showing off then :P)
and while I was introducing him to the magic of Scratch-X, I tried to get rid of this defect:
Now, normally a scratch down to the metal would mean a repaint...
Except this scratch had a clear coat over it! Sometime in the last 20 years, the car had been resprayed without primer OR pigment!
WTF, anyone?
