  • Removing Scratches on CD/DVDs with Meguiar's

Has anyone had any success removing/cleaning Cd's or DVDs using Meguiar's products? If so, what product and procedures have you used?

Yes, PlastX works great on CD's and DVD's.

It works even better on iPods!!!

It's funny, BUT-My family and I are watching a rented DVD movie and it starts to skip and such really badly. So I say, "I think I have an idea" and grab some PlastX and they reply, "Oh god, here he goes with Meguiar's talk, over and over." So I pop the DVD back in, after glimpsing at the repaired DVD and BAM! I smugly state, "If Meguiar's has a product that works THE best then I can talk about Meguiar's all I want...except to the girlfriend...but, I am single probably because I talk about Meguiar's too much."

Anyway, apply it as you would anything else.

            +1

I do not have PlasticX so I had a cd that was COMPLETELY unreadable. Took some ScratchX as it was all I had, buffed it out quickly, and bam! It worked!

ScratchX was a little too harsh as it left some scratches in it, however it does work just fine if you do not have PlasticX.
