Ok, I had a potential customer ask today if I scotchguard the seats. I understand that 3m makes this stuff, and that it is supposed to "repel stains and liquids" do any of you all ever do this or have any customers request it?

Re: Scotchguard
yup, i keep several cans of it on stand by...
i just spray it on kinda heavy, but not saturating the carpet/seats, let air dry...its best to have time to let the car air out too, the stuff will give u a mean headache if the smell is still strong..
i did my own car last year, at night, closed it up, and the next day i got a headache being in the car, for my commute to work..
it helps keeps stains. or liquids from soaking into the carpet/cloth and gives u a lil more time to soak up a spill before it soaks in...

Re: Scotchguard
I live by Scotchguard. My wife is addicted to Starbucks, plus we have an 11-year-old and a 2-year-old, where the spills never end. Yet, my interior looks brand new. I Scotchguarded the seats and carpet when new, and when spills occur, I soak them up immediately, then use our home carpet-cleaning machine (because I'm obsessive about my interior), re-applying Scotchguard when done -- and it's worked great. Plus, Scotchguard is so inexpensive, and goes a long way, so it seems well worth keeping your interior covered.2006 Chopped and Dropped Dodge Grand Caravan SXT
