  • Cars and Coffee entry

On July 19th, my Volvo C30 and a few other C30 owner will be at Cars and Coffee show. I like to know what do I need to do to enter the event and where do I park? I have submitted the question on their site but have yet to hear a response.

    Thanks.

    Entering is pretty complicated.

    You show up.

Seriously, it’s not a structured thing. You just show up and hang out.

If there’s a “featured marque” for the day they’ll put them up in the front lot as a group. But other than that it’s first come, first park, wherever you find a spot.

If you want to park as a group you’d better get there around 06:30 or earlier. I rolled in about 06:50 last Saturday and there were only a few random spots left way in the back. There weren’t any sets of two or more spaces left together.

Just curious, but can ANY car park in the Display Area, granted they get there early enough to get a spot?

Yep, any car can park in the display lot. The preference is certainly for old, rare or unique vehicles but every now and then you'll see three or four Corvettes, 350Zs or, ah, Crossfires parked together. Not to knock those cars but I'll pass half a dozen Vettes and Zs on the way to the event so, nice as they are, they certainly aren't rare. I'm sure a few complaints would be heard if someone pulled up in a bone stock three year old Toyota Camry though.

Hey, if you’re proud of it and think it’s cool somebody else is bound to agree.

But people will think you’re a jerk if you park that Camry sideways taking up two spaces. It’s the sort of gathering where the guys with pre-war Packards, Lusso Ferraris or Gullwing Mercedes park straight and trust their neighbors.
