So today/tonight was not one of the best days I've ever had to say the least. My girlfriend took out IS300 to Knoxville for the weekend (3 hours from home) with a friend to watch the Tennessee-Alabama game, and once she got there this is what happened...
She was driving on the interstate doing about 75, the same speed as everyone else, after just getting into Knoxville. The person in front of her slammed on their brakes, so she slammed on hers, but the guy behind her IN A F350! (which was raised much highed than they already are with HUGE tires), never saw anyone brake (we have reason to believe he was texting, and he is not yet 18 either), and rammed straight into the back of her stopped car doing 75-80 mph. My girlfriend and her friend were both rushed to the hospital and by the grace of God neither have any internal damage or broken bones. Just severe stiffness, soreness, a lot of pain, and back/shoulder spasms. I immediately got in my car and rushed down there to spend the next 7 hours there before just getting back home about an hour ago. It's almost 4 a.m. here and I just can't sleep so I thought I would share this with you guys. The main thing is they are both going to be OK after suffering for a few weeks the doc said. But aside from that, we just got the thing paid off last month (bought it brand new 5 years ago with 4 miles on it, it now has 82k), AND i just spent 4 hours detailing it this morning before she left. Don't know if I'll be sleeping tonight.
