  • Clickable Links

    I was wondering how some of the links in threads say words instead of the URL.

    Re: Clickable Links

    It's an option to embed text rather than having the link, what you do is type out the WORDS you want to appear in the thread, then HIGHLIGHT it, and click the icon above your text box with the Earth and a paperclip or whatever that is...then put the LINK in there. And voila!

      Re: Clickable Links

      I have removed the brackets this [ and this ] to allow the link to be displayed - look at the difference between the two in the code below... I have highlighted the portion of the 'code' in RED that changes. Does that help?

      URL="http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/"]http://www.meguiarsdirect.com[/URL

      The above URL will display like this: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/

      --------

      URL="http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/"]Meguiars Direct[/COLOR][/URL

      The above URL will display like this: Meguiars Direct

      You can also add additional formatting like color, bold and so on.

            Re: Clickable Links

            All you have to do is this:

            Highlight the word or anything you want to that will have a link attached.
            On the toolbar, look for this icon

            When you click on it, it will display a window, paste the link you want and then click OK.

                Thanks for sharing some "How-To" information and some of the features in vBulletin.

                It's actually a very feature-rich discussion forum software.
