I was wondering how some of the links in threads say words instead of the URL.

I have removed the brackets this [ and this ] to allow the link to be displayed - look at the difference between the two in the code below... I have highlighted the portion of the 'code' in RED that changes. Does that help?

The above URL will display like this: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/

All you have to do is this:
Highlight the word or anything you want to that will have a link attached.
On the toolbar, look for this icon
When you click on it, it will display a window, paste the link you want and then click OK.
