  • Any Flex users in the Dallas area?

I'm wanting to do some research with a Flex, and didn't want to shell out the $300 if it wasn't going to work for my intentions. Anyone have a Flex in the Dallas area? If so, I'd like to rent it from you for a day or two.

    Let me know,

Here's a worthy review of someone who has used a rotary buffer for 14 years that uses the Flex...

Oh, I don't doubt that it works well. But I have something I'm working on and want to see if the Flex will handle it. Call it some special testing. Not the normal paint buffing.

Too bad you're out in Texas Nick. You need to move out here to Southern California- we have sunshine, beautiful cars, AND the Meguiar's headquarters. It's a no brainer!

Oh, and I have a FLEX I would let you borrow...

            Lol.

As long as some special treats find their way into the box for the return trip, that just might be an option.

Nevermind guys, I went ahead and ordered a Flex today. I guess if it works for what I want, then I'll keep it. If not, it may be up for sale soon

                    Hey Nick,

Which Flex did you buy: rotary or DA?

Either way, congrats and let us know how you like it!

I went with the forced rotation DA version.

Dangit, I was hoping for a gallon of nick's special MOJO! D'oh!

Well Enjoy the FLEX Nick. I will warn you now, do NOT use excessive pressure...bad, bad things will happen.

I also advise you to open up the backing plate and add some oil to the felt ring (this helps with the previously mentioned issue).

Otherwise, it's a pretty nice machine for correction...just a little loud and awkward in tight spaces.
