Seeing some Fiestas in the morning (PICS ADDED!)

I was invited to go check out the new Ford Fiesta at a special unveiling in Anaheim on Saturday.

I was there for the private unveiling of the new (at the time) 2008 Focus as well, and the same brand manager from Ford (Sam De La Garza) is in charge of the Fiesta.

Should be neat. I plan on taking many pics, and I will be sure to share them here. I might even try and arrange a joint photo shoot with my focus...

I had the first one in HS. It was fun and scary.
Front wheel drive, kinda fun. then We got another and pimed it out for my stereo shop.

They brought one out for a sneak peek at Cars & Coffee this morning (and a KA too). I'm really looking forward to seeing them on the road here in the US.

Ford has a hit on its hands with the new Fiesta and Focus. These cars have absolutely great driving dynamics. This Fiesta is on my short list, when it comes out.

The headlights remind me of a Mercury Cougar a little bit.
It reminds me of a crossover I have seen before.
Maybe a shrunken Nissan Murano?.?.?.?.?
Some Toyota Prius in there too.

Aside from the moderate similarities in the window layout, I don't see it at all.





That Prius doesn't have an ounce of sleek or fun, or agile anywhere on it.

I think to some degree ALL automakers copy after each other, although in my eyes it seems American copies from Foreign at some point.

Yes, agreed, the windows between the Prius and Fiesta are remarkably similar, including the overall width and length (now I know you have the Fiesta specs in front of you, but at a glance from your pics it seems that way to me) .

Actually, I was thinking with the new Hyundai I saw this weekend, the rear reminded me of a BMW!
