Does anyone drive a 2007 Saturn Ion 2

Trying to help a close friend, she cant seem to figure out her headlights.

Dont they come with Auto headlights. Turn on automatically when it gets dark?
I guess thats my first question?

I drive a 2003 L200 and it has daytime running lights. I'm pretty sure all Ion models have the same thing

thats what I was thinking. I drive that 02 monte and mine are automatic. I will try to get some more info out of her and see what we can figure out.. She says she has to manually turn her lights on when she is driving in the dark

Some cars have a position to turn day time running lights off, but my car you cannot turn off the day time lights off.

She might be getting stuck with that, having an extra position on the knob?

Or my fiancee's car has auto, on and off positions?

Yeah, She said her day time running lights are on. She is talking about her night driving headlights!

Maybe the sensor isnt working... or maybe they arent auto?

yeah, I guess that was the one thing I dont know. Can they be auto? Hope someone can chime in that has one?

As mentioned above, My Dad's Saturn SL1/2 once you put it in drive headlights will come on. I think they are not as bright as regular headlights, but they are not parking light. But since I do not drive it that much, for all I know is that they could be regular headlights.
