Well, The ICE line introduced a few products for 2009. Their new interior cleaner kinda copied off Megs QID.

Sorry Andy, wasn't bashing TW at all, just poking some fun at them for waking me up. I remember my old man waxing out old Mustang and Trooper back when I was a kid using TW. I would cringe now watching him after knowing what I know!

I personally don't mind the Ice polish

I use it over the tech wax and i like it
I think it gives it more of a wet look

AFAIK the ice polish have a cleaner on it, so it'll remove your NXT, better put ice 1st than NXT i think

i use the ice when raining season, and put it on the "regret pile" when summer

This was filmed before I was converted to Meguiars products and really before I was into detailing at all.

They filmed the testimonials at the Chandler Car Show in Chandler, Arizona a few years ago.

Fellow forum member stevejetman has a speaking part in the infomercial - you may recognize his black '67 Mustang in the background from this thread:

LOL that commercial still gives me nightmares!

I'm sure the ICE line is excellent for those who want a quick detail and a good enough shine. Heck if I didn't find Meg's and this forum I'm sur....no I'm positive I would have been using these products. I remember being in Pep Poys after buying my Saturn, and I was torn as to weather or not I should go with the Meg's NXT v1 or TW ICE.....boy I'm glad I made the right choice. Before this I knew squat about detailing.

Now see if you wouldn't have mentioned it, we would've never known that you were in that infomercial.
It's all good Jeff, I do believe that you, as well as the rest of us have made the right choice. I'll forgive ya as long as you can forgive me for almost buying into that infomercial!!

Oh, and guys, just because something isn't targeted for the true enthusiast "Car Crazy" detailer doesn't mean it's no good. It may not be good for YOU specifically, or for your needs and goals, but for others it may be the perfect thing. Don't forget that Meguiar's makes products to address all kinds of users, from the casual "I wax my car once a year" kinda guy to the OCD types here on MOL who stay up until 3 in the morning to see what new products we're coming out with for next year!

Ha! I just noticed something. I went back to watch this informercial on YouTube, and it opens up like this, "Hi, I'm Barbara Terry. In the next half hour I'm going to show you a product that's forever going to change the way you care for your car's appearance." They didn't lie. I tried their product, switched to Meguiar's, and I forever changed the way I care for my car's appearance!

Being in that turtle wax commercial was great thing in the end because it sparked my interest in detailing and my search for the best products...and of course I found Meguiar's as a result

I always tell my wife that the best gift I have ever received was the PC and bottles of M80 and M83 and a set of Meg's polishing pads...the rest is history.

I also found this forum which is by far the best forum I belong to because of the high quality members and the respect that is expected and encouraged here. I think that maybe a classy company such as Meguiars attracts classy people - whatever it is, it's a great thing!

Actually I've never seen the one I was in on Youtube. The one I was in was a 30 minute infomercial that features 2 red jeeps doing a side by side comparo between ice and other products. They cut back and forth to car show testimonials. You can see me polishing the red hood with white stripe and also wiping down my instrument bezel and steering wheel. I should say you can see my arms LOL
