  • New camera - Panasonic DMC-ZS3 or Canon SX 200 IS??

    Alright guys,
I'm heading to Chicago at the end of this month and I'm looking for a new camera. I've narrowed down my choices to the Canon SX 200 IS or the Pansonic DMC-ZS3. Both have 12x optical zoom and a host of features. Just curious if anyone owns either of these cameras? If so, what is your opinion on it? Been a Canon guy for years, but the Panasonic looks really nice. FWIW, I don't care about the video aspect of each unit, just the regular photos...and some 16x9 shots, maybe a little panoramic.
    Thanks!

It was a question to help decide between the two cameras, but I appreciate your enthusiasm.

EDIT: Post #600. Break out the party hats.

I have the panasonic lumix TZ3, and it is really good when you want to take snap photos.. especially because of the wide lens (just like the commercials, you dont have to walk to far backwards to get a wide shot), and you can zoom from pretty far away... but taking close up photos are sometimes a bit to noisy....
but since Pansonic DMC-ZS3 replaces the TZ series, i would vote for panasonic..
In canon I prefer the IXUS series :]...

        good luck
