What got you hooked on Meguiar's?

    when i was really young..probablly when i was like 14..my mom used to get the hot shine aersol tire spray for her car and always ask me to make her tires shine..and i got hooked up on the smell lol. then when i got older and got my own car i used to always see the gold class shampoo and always say, man...there the only brand that calls the soap "shampoo and conditioner" rather than "car wash"..so i thought to myself, theres gotta be something good about it lol...so one day i trieed GC shamppoo and a can of cleaner wax..i was hooked ! it was my perfect definition of wash nd wax...and sure enough the addiction kicked in and i was registered on here =D

      Several years ago I was on Autopia researching what to buy for a used Guards Red 911 I had bought at the time. I noticed his posts over there and the many people asking him questions. It was also the same time the PC was starting to be used for polishing and I needed something that any dodo could use, and get good results and not harm the paint. So I took a look at this board and learned how to use the PC w/ the 83/80 combo. My own personal results with all of the cars I've had since is directly attributed to what Mike taught on this board. That's why I buy Meg's now. If it wasn't for that guy, this board and his knowledge on how to use Meg's products I would have likely found another resource elsewhere. Meg's makes great products but I have no idea if there are other commercially available products that can be used to get equal results.....

        I first used megs about 15 years ago when I used to work part time in a detailinp shop. I used to not know too much about products. Now several years later after detailing many cars and a few career changes I found myself at the local hardware store looking for something to put on my car (I had run out of wax) and found some CC. Slapped it on my car and remembered how much I loved meg.

        As far as this site, I read some of Mike Phillips' posting on another site and googled his name and found this site. I liked the poeple on MOL and decided to join.

        Mike if you detail half as good as you write you must be a detailing god
