besides the accident my parents and i bought this 83 Rabbit GTI for 1k, it runs and drives great it needs a alignment and new front struts, they are out. This is the GTI model with the 1.8L motor with a 5 spd manual. the tranny has been built and geard for racing, reason why is that it was raced as a auto cross car back in the day. so it does not get that great of mileage as it should, at 70mph it runs 4kRPM, it scares me to see it run that high lol. it needs a paint job badly massive clear coat failure, i am going to paint it Blue, proabably Corvette electron blue.

Re: here is my 83 VW Rabbit GTI PICS
Thanks man
i forgot to put what it has in after market parts, It has Recaro seats, GTI disc brake conversion, Koni shocks in the back and Eibach spings as i was told by the owner, Has Ronel 15in wheels, the built tranny, strut tower brace, underdrive pulleys maybe i am looking into them. i am going to take the back seat out for weight reduction for better MPG. oh it has only 173,000 miles it just rolled over to that today.Alex
