      Re: What makes you unique?

I was the first person in the history of our family to be born outside of Europe - USA to be precise. As such, I'm the first person in the history of our family who can run for President, so I expect to see a lot write in votes come 2012.

A great uncle of mine spent years tracing back the family tree and got as far as the mid 1400's. He was very proud that our family had a very rich maritime history, with many members serving as officers in various navies or merchant marine organizations in Denmark, Holland, Belgium, and even Norway. His quest came to an abrupt halt when he found persistant references to an ancestor being a Danish pirate back in the 1400's. He was so embarrassed that he just stopped researching the family. That's sort of a disappointment because now I'll never know where the treasure is buried. Arrrrrgh.

That's pretty neat, Mike! A friend of my dad's researched our family tree once, but he only got as far as the early 1800's. I don't think anybody in my family line did anything too exciting, although there was one person, a distant cousin I believe, who worked on the railroad during the 1800's. I think that's cool that one of your relatives was a pirate. I wonder if there was any relation to Captain Jack Sparrow.

          Re: What makes you unique?

Why this might not be unique, I think it is pretty cool. My great grandfather was a builder and we have a subdivision on Prescott, Arizona that he built. My last name, Lessig, has its own street and there is a street for all of my great grandfathers grand children. Betty, Themla, Allen and Christina each have a street in the subdivision and I think we still have some ownership up there.

Thats very cool Ryan!! I wish I could have my own street!

According to my history teacher my last name (Meade) is a beer over in England or something, wonder if I have any rights to the money?

Also, I am related to General George Meade in the history books unfortunately haha, he wasnt the good guy, fought for the north in the civil war. But that was a long time ago

Both of my pinky fingers bend outward at the large joint. Not a 90* bend, but a definite bend if I were to extend my pinkies and show someone. One of those genetic traits like the "widow's peak" hairline, except that I haven't seen anyone else with the pinky trait.

Last person in the family that can keep my last name on the charts.

Im very talented athletically (Baseball specific). Coincidently i just checked out Wake Forest today and tommorow am going to take a look at UNC and Duke. Hoping to get a scholarship I actually set a record in a national tournament for most double plays turned in a game.

                      Quick learner, pretty booksmart.

I can do a lot of impressions pretty good haha.

Ok, well im going to stop bragging now lol

I just don't like running the window motors often. Most of my trips involve the freeway... So my windows usaully don't move, unless the weather is nice enough.
