  • Take a momement to remember 9/11/01

Today marks the anniversary of the one of the most tragic days in American History. Those who where alive then and old enough to remember will never (and should never) forget.

Don't just take a moment today but strive everyday to appreciate and remember the brave police officers, fire fighters, military personal and civilians who raced to save the victims against unbelievable odds. Unfortunately it took our weakest moment to reignite the fire that made America great: Unity

Remember all the men and women, young and old, who you have never met, that are willing to die for you.

    Never Forget

Re: Take a momement to rememeber 9/11/01

I figure I'd add my .02 cents. I remember watching the news that morning. I was drinking my coffee, putting on my uniform, my body armor and getting ready to go see what the day had in store.

I watched as the first plane hit and thought how odd? What a tradegy. THen when the second hit I sadi this is no mistake. I had a 9 month old son in the other room and just found out we were expecting our second. I just thoguht the world had changed in an instant and what intersting times are ahead.

I saw all the firemen and police officers running into the buildings and thought I wonder why we do that. EVeryone is running away and we run towards. And to see them collapse was numbing.

I served in the Army from 1990 to 1997 and was in the 1st Gulf War and felt a little bad becasue I knew something was ogng to be done and I wouldn't be there with the guys I knew. ANd over the course of a few days I felt inspired by the patriotism and unity that the country showed. Very reminescent of how it was during WWII. See all the flags haning from the houses and complete strangers coming together for support and compassion.

Compassion for the innocent people in the towers, the firefighters and police, the braves people on Flight 93. I've often thought what I would say if I had 10 seconds left on a cell phone. Anyways theres my memory and .02 cents on 9/11. God Bless

Well said Todd...I was outside the office just starring at the wind torn flag at 6am today and it hit me I need to put the flag at half-staff. It was an emotional moment as the flag lowered.

Thank you to all the Men & Women out protecting our freedom abroad and at home. The military personnel, police officers, firemen, EMTs, etc. that serve us everyday.

                You guys ROCK.

I remember being taken out of school by my dad, who wasn't worried he kept calm and even took me to the store where we casually shopped. I remember seeing the worried look in the other adults faces as we walked to our house. I remember smelling the burning plaster and paper from my house. I remember watching the burned/burning papers and ash fall from the sky over my house, I remember grabbing a few pieces to remember the day. I remember sitting in my friend's living room and watching the re-play over and over again. I remember my family worrying about my uncles who both worked in the buildings. I remember how angry we all were that night after seeing the footage of crowds in the middle east cheering gleefully about the events of the day. I remember seeing fighter jets flying around the sky for the next few days. I remember my mother consoling her friend whose son was one of the firefighters who were killed that day. I will never forget that day.
