And we'll take it! Southern California is normally drought-stricken because in most years we do not have enough rainfall. Down in San Diego we got a fair amount of rain, but not quite that bad. I honestly don't think I could drive my Focus on that road... my air filter is too low, and my front lip would have channeled the water straight to it - HYDROLOCK!

Just a tid bit of snow in our area.
So. Weed (No. California) There was a wreck on southbound as you can see the traffic is backed up. left lane is the southbound lane.
Black Butte (Weed, CA) both about 25 minutes from me.
My wife works for public health and they got turned around from going to a clinic in the city of Mt. Shasta, she said the roads were "icky"

My wife and I just drove back from Las Vegas this morning. It was NOT fun. When we got to Victorville, it started to rain pretty hard. The scary part is that some people think you can still drive 80 mph when it's raining so hard. When we got to the 91 fwy, it turned black and just poured. Turned on the radio and heard about tornado warnings. Crazy weather. Made it home OK.-Bob

Snow is right up the road from me supposedly. It's been raining like crazy here in the mountains; partial flooding in places, though that doesn't really bother too many up here. However, the wind is absolutely nuts this morning!

I'm officially upgrading my weather to bad, lol. The wind was pushing my 5,550LB truck all over the road, and the rain has been non-stop pouring since about 8:45AM. I guess it'll be more puddles for me to play in though.

Give it a day or two and we'll have flooding like that in Omaha. There's a foot to 18" of snow on the ground not to mention the piles (more like mountains) from plowing. Supposed to be misty and foggy the next few days with some rain mixed in and temps in the upper 30s / low 40s. We dodged a bullet last night by not getting the 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch of ice they were forecasting.Comment

Winds are really strong here in SoCal. so I'm parking my car away from all trees and palm fronds. I saw one huge palm frond break loose yesterday and fall on the roof of a Lexus where it slid down to the hood. Another gust of wind then blew that nasty paint scratcher right across the hood and over a fender.
Gave me an involuntary shudder.Comment
