  • solar panels.

I'm getting tired of paying high electricity bills(this month it was almost $300), and as electical companies "want to make more money by raising their prices up", I'm thinking of switching to solar energy. At least just for A/C ...just wonder it anyone on this forum knows where to get those, and what will it cost. Here, in Sacramento there is plenty of sun to generate electricity ...
    Anyone knows?

Try www.bpsolar.com . They are selling through Home Depot (may depend on your part of the country). We have some really big state-financed rebates here in NJ, but when I went to the calculator at the BP site, the payback period seemed much longer than what I had previously heard (I thought it was 5-10 years; theirs came out to 20-25 years...which is about the life of the equipment )
