This black chevrolet malibu belongs to my sister in law she's 3 months pregnant and she was having problems with her baby so she was in bed for this past 3 months and of course her car was too, but thank God she's out of danger and she's allowed to drive again so I gave her car a little makeover as a little present.
Here are a little bird presents

Well I don't know how many of you clean behind the tires, but It's that little details that gives the final result a :xyxthumbs

Here are my brushes for cleaning the wheels I prefer to use them without the handle. And I bought a little seat, it saves a lot of effort being seated in front of the tires :D

now, I think that's the first time I've seen tire dressing applied with a nylon brush. What are the advantages?

looks great, btw!

Well first for me the advantages are : 1.- NO mess 2.- Since the nylon don't absorb much product you apply the gel very easy.
3.- You can clean the brush fast with Dawn if you want.

The nylon brush for the tire gell is a wonderful idea. Will do that next time.

Why are there wire ties on the wheels?

The little white lines in the hood I think are clear coat failure.

Yep, those little lines do look like the beginning of clear coat failure. Next, they will start to form right angles with one another and then finally clusters.

Tim

Tnx for the kind words, it took me like 8 hours going from washing, clay bar, 2 passes of DACP# 83 in some areas, # 7, and 1 coat of NXT tech wax, my sister in law was very happy with the results and that was the reason I did it inthe first place.

I just uploaded my avatar, it's a flag of my country with the meguiars logo and the reflection over my car.:db: :dp: party:

What pad do you use? I have a yellow meguiar's pad that I used on my PC.

The Doctor detailer
May 27th, 2006, 09:23 AM
For the swirls I used a light cutting pad (orange pad ) from lake country on speed 5 with the pc (G-100) but as has been said, any cutting pads can cause micro marring on some paints,so you have to be careful , personally it happened to me in a red car but you can always follow with something less agressive , like #80 or a polishing pad.

Do not know how I missed this when it was new. Great work on the Chevy. What a dramatic improvement. I have been using the paint brush with the gel for a long time. It works great.

Very nice work getting rid of those swirls. Just a suggestion, spray some tire foam in those wheel wells to darken up the plastic a bit, either that or some hyper dressing. Good job!
