View Full Version : Cleaner for Interior of Jeep Liberty

I have cleaned the interior of two sisters' Jeep Liberty and Jeep Grand Cherokee a few times, doing some spot treatment as needed. I have used Tuff Stuff on a few cars with great results, but none have had the type of upholstery the Jeeps have.

It seems to be a stain resistant type material, but stains do form on it. When I clean it with the Tuff Stuff, it usually takes the stain out but leaves a ring from where the cleaner was. The actual cleaned area itself is usually a bit discolored, too, as if it was still wet. I have been able to correct this with wetting the area down a bit with water, scrubbing with a clean towel, and using a hair dryer to dry it.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of interior material? I'd love to hear your thoughts on methods for cleaning the Jeep interiors as well as other cleaners which which may dry completely and without leaving any residue. I'd be great if we could keep it to products available in most general auto parts stores as I try to avoid ordering online unless I have a larger order.

I have a 04' Liberty Sport and I find that water and car wash soap do the job great!! Once you have filled up your wash bucket and are ready to wash the car just dip a MF Towel or something to that degree and rub out the stain...works great!

Good Luck
