well it's actually my wife's RR.
it pretty much lives outside (only have a 1 car garage and my WRX get's it ;) ) and is exposed to the elements. we bought it last year and i was able to "hide" the scratches from off-roading when i used the Zymol that i had. i was pretty content with it and it looked good.
now since getting my WRX, i want to keep it in great looking condition and noticed that the wife's RR was looking kinda sad, so what better way to test my skills by using her vehicle.

it's always had water marks since we bought it (used) got a good amount out, but there are quite a bit left on the hood only.

here's what i used:
Quik Clay , #83, #82, NXT, NXT Protectant, Hot Shine, Meg's pads/backer, PC

here's the scary gas filler area and scratches:

still has some fuel marks:

some more scratches and a stain:

stain and scratches gone (well except for the deep ones)

here's a side with scratches, not too bad.

Thanks!
yes/no. actually, it has airbags (factory) and i have it lowered on it's bump-stops. it makes it easier to work on. normal ride height is about 4" higher.

oo in that case if it is 4" higher i need a few high rocks to get the top cleaned of that car :D i am not hat tall :)

my Discovery is going to be a real chore. i can't get it into my garage and it's probably 5" taller than stock.

will do that makeover next weekend.

Nice work! My dad has similar scratches on his Explorer. What pads did you use for the scratches? I tried DACP with a polishing pad and it barely did anything to it.
