I'm still trying to work out the technique for the PC. I was watching the vids posted on youtube from a Megs class. The same vids that are linked to up in the video section of the forum. I noticed when he was using the PC to demonstrate how it will not remove sanding marks, the pad was barely turning.

Can someone tell me if this is how the compounding or polishing should be done in the initial stages when using a PC.

I've read many, many, many post with Mike saying to apply pressure, but don't let the pad stop. After seeing the vid, I'm thinking 10 RPM is still turning. Am I on the right track??????

TIA,

We like to see the pad actually spinning, not crawling along...

Don't try sanding an entire car down thinking you'll remove the sanding marks using a DA Polisher, better to invest in a rotary buffer and learn how to use it. Also the most aggressive product we recommend to be used with DA Polishers at this time is our M83. We also don't recommend using our foam cutting pad with a DA Polisher (W-7006).

Gotcha, already knew that, but never hurts to see it again.

I thought the pad was moving too slow, but seeing the pro at work made me wonder. That's why I asked, now I know it was just a demo on what won't work vs how to work the PC.

Thanks,
