While I really like the new NXT 2.0, I must say I'm still hooked on M16. I have yet to use a wax that is more durable.

I like it too! I use both of them, depending on what mood I'm in.....

Both good waxes, goes along with my other waxes....Too many good options to pick and an understanding wife who let's me buy them!

I recently just used 16 on top of NXT. I have never seen my paint look that reflective, not as deep as when covered with 26, but really reflective. I'm still waiting on durability.

M16 is discontinued, so grab up what you can if you like it.
M16 is a pure polish, show/museum car stuff
Topping NXT?
Nxt is a synthetic wax with all kinds of kewl stuff in it that protects against fallout.
As far as durability, NXT is very durable for the day to day fallout your paint will endure,
including salt water from your beautifull neighbor to the west.
To me, pure polishes are a beautiful glaze you put on to bring out the "wet look", not a durable barrier against the elements.

Are you confusing M16 with something else???

M16 isn't a pure polish, it is a carnauba wax that isn't just for show cars or museum cars. It was released in the US for consumer use, but because of VOC regulations, it can no longer be used in the US. It is not discontinued as it is still being produced and sold in Canada and Europe. You can top NXT with M16, it is no different than topping NXT with M26. Carnauba over a synthetic works, not the other way around. I am still in the process of seeing personal results but from what I have heard, M16 is one of Meguiar's Most durable waxes....

What's a good price on M16 paste wax if I can find it? Is it illegal to import?

Thanks,
Steve

M16 should cost between $20 to $25. Eshine.ca has then in stock and I believe Nick still has a couple.

A single tin will last you a really long time. I've done twenty cars with one tin and there is still 3/4 of it left.

I used 16 today on a pearl white caddy Seville. After claying and polishing with 205, I then broke out the 16 and started to apply it by hand, but wasn't able to spread it thin enough by hand it was impossible to remove. I then took my standard applicator that had plenty of product on it and applied it to a red LC foam finishing pad and used it on my Griots machine that I used to apply wax with and BINGO! It put down a nice very thin coat that was pretty easy to remove. I rarely use this stuff, but after this, I may have to find another tin, I loved the way it looked on that pearl white car and was super slick! I've always topped NXT, 20, or 21 in the past with 26, but I may have to give 16 a try as a topper...

So, for people who use both 16 and 26, which one would you say is more durable?

Thanks,

In my experience #16 is more durable that #26.

Im looking forward to it. I like Collinite 845 and 476 especially for the winter, but on my white corolla I am more about durability than looks. So I figure for winter M16 as the base, followed by 476s should be good
