I voted Honda. Wife has one never any issues, and a high resale value. A co-worker has one with over 200,000 miles on it. Personally me though, I drive my Chevy......

I swore up and down that I would never own one but after looking at the domestic mid/small trucks in my price range there was no comparison.

Can I vote BMW?
Import doesn't mean Asian, does it?

Where's Land Rover? Other? That's not fair.

When it comes to the Asian market, Mitsu's and Subies would be my pick.

I'm pretty sure my next car will be a Ford something or other!

This was tough for me. Even though I drive a Lexus, I generally prefer Honda's over Toyota's. Honda's problem IMO, is that their Acura line has a complex. It is neither fully luxury, nor fully affordable but falls somewhere in between.

When talking about luxury models, people will mention Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc... but not really Acura in the same breath.

On the other hand, when I compare Honda's to Toyota's straight up, I think Honda's put out better cars. I prefer the Honda layout over the Toyota layout and their cars just feel more "fun" to me.

I prefer the Civic over the Corolla, the Accord over the Camry, the Odyssey over the Sienna (but the Tundra blows away the Ridgeline). At the end of the day, I still go with the Toyota/Lexus on the strength of the Lexus line but if I could find a competitive RWD vehicle from Acura that had the zest of my IS350, I take it in a second.

I voted Nissan/Infiniti even tho I drive a Honda Accord. I LOVE my car, but mann...what I'd give to get a G37 or 370Z...!! lol

Even though I drive a Ford and my wife drives a Kia mini-van, I love the Hyundai Sonata.

Yeah, they really have gone leaps & bounds with the new Genesis Coupe & Sedan as well. Having been known to put out junk at first (like many other car manufacturers), they are now giving the Japanese/American automakers a run for their money.

Subaru all the way. I just got a 2005 Impreza RS 3 months ago. The all wheel drive is a lot of fun, I can't wait for winter!!

I voted Mitsubishi because I recently purchased one, and it's really been fun to drive around so far. I've owned one Toyota Corolla (Used) and a Honda Civic (Purchased New), as well as an Accord (Also Purchased New.) In my opinion, you just can't beat Japanese auto reliability. Unless its a classic, or a brand spanking new truck, I can't see myself buying an American made car anytime soon. But, if I had some extra cash, I'd definitely be getting myself some old school Mopar muscle, and an Audi R8. Just my two cents.

And please don't anyone take my comments the wrong way. Like I said, its just my opinion. Besides, proper maintenance, like everything else, will determine how long your car will keep going.

I've had a 1200, Stanza wagon, Pathfinder, and an Armada all with over 100,000 miles while my wife has had an Altima and Maxima, a good guess would be Nissan. Peek at my avitar, that's the power plant in the Armada!

I won't own anything non-domestic.... so if I had to pick I'd say Lambo/Ferrari/Porsche since they don't really compete with American brands.

I own a Japanese import.

1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V Turbo 1,300cc... 126,435 on the dash and never had a problem. (And i bought it used too so that counts).

I voted for Toyota. I know right now they are having problems but they didnt come to be the #1 import in the US for nothing. That being said my grocery getter is a 99 Camry. Very well built vehicle. My play cars are two new Bimmers.
