We had a packed house for the first class of the year, and typical SoCal winter weather (sunny and 75F :coolgleam ), so we had a great time!
Following the classroom portion of the day we selected one of the attendee's cars, and here was the condition of that "demo" car for the day:

The car in question? A 2001 Audi TT Roadster in an unusual shade of green.

In the garage the paint didn't look quite as bad, but a good light reveals all!

As per our usual process, we did two test spots - one by hand, one with the G110v2 - using Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish, and Ultimate Wax.

Showing how to concentrate on an isolated defect if need be. A bit more pressure, a little more time.....

After the fact. The G110v2 applied section was noticeably better than the hand applied section, but even the hand applied area showed dramatic improvement over the "before" condition which, as you can see here once again, was pretty severely swirled up.

Another view of the G110v2 treated section. The mark in the upper left quadrant of the test spot is an etching that is very severe. It could be felt with a finger tip. Not with a finger nail, but with the pad of the finger! It was deemed so deep that only some spot sanding and compounding would remove it, and that process was beyond the scope of this class. But for swirl and water spot removal, we'd call this a resounding success.

Once our demo was finished we put the tool into the hands of the attendees, starting with Richard, the car's owner.

Always keeping a watchful eye on any new user working on a car so graciously "donated" by the owner!

If this class was any indication, 2012 is going to be a fun year in our garage!!

Great demo car, amazing final results and fun class to start 2012 with - and it's just the beginning of the year.

Life's not fair. Upper 40's in New York yesterday and I had to use a rinseless car wash.

Not fair at all... mid 30s with snow flurries in Ohio. I had to crank the garage heat up to 70 before starting a wash. Absolutely barbaric! :D

Wow. Talk about night and day. I do love that color on the TT though. Any kind of British racing green suits a roadster well in my opinion. :)
