It was Corvette Mania at Meguiar's over the weekend!!!! Well, a couple of Vette clubs, anyway, plus a couple of interlopers as seen in the first picture from this class. No matter, it was a full house, and a great time!

Plenty of swirls, but look closer - this paint is very hazy as well, and that's due to residual sanding marks that were not fully buffed out.

This is evidence of the famed DISO (dealer installed swirl option) as the car is in the hands of the original owner and he has never put a buffer to it.

That's a lot of Corvette enthusiasts!

Two test spots were done on the hood of the car, as per our usual demo. Here it's Ultimate Compound on a foam polishing pad.

Close inspection reveals definite progress on this repainted car.

A little Ultimate Polish to add some depth to the color.

Prepping a microfiber pad with D300 for the second test spot.

That paint may look really shiny in this shot, but this is the red panel shown above with the sanding marks in it. Lighting and angle makes a huge difference in what you can, and can't, see.

"No, really.... I swear there was a swirl right there!!"

A "before" area showing swirls and plenty of left over sanding marks.

An "after" area and all those problems are gone. The D300/DMC5 combo did create a bit of haze, but that was easily cleaned up with some D302 on a microfiber finishing disc.

Time to let the car owner get a feel for using the G110v2 and microfiber.
