View Full Version : Peanut Butter???

My sister stopped over this morning while I was washing the RAV4, and she mentioned about getting wax in the black trim of her Mazda CX-5. Her husband suggested the solution - 'peanut butter'. Huh??? Perhaps PB was a hack for something else, but I dunno about wax in black trim. I told her to use some APC and a soft toothbrush to work the wax out. Anyone here heard of such a thing?

Yup. Although I've never tried it, I've seen several people say that this works great. Nothing to lose by trying it.

I assume "smooth", not "chunky".. Haha.

Yup, straight peanut oil works better, but I have used it before on faded black VW trim. Doesn't last as long as some specialty products do today, but back in the day, it was one of the few things on the market that didn't "paint" faded trim Forever Black.

Once you try Concept vista on black trim, you'll never ever use something else...
