My latest project has taken me awhile to complete, and the question arose:
After UC, M205, and UP, should I remove dust on panels and top surfaces using DQ or should I wash again? I worried about scratches from dust removal.

I did not have this problem before because I was able to work continuously and dust and sitting in garage was not an issue.

Thanks in advance,
JJ

If the dust present on the painted panels you are looking to remove is light, there is no issue using one of Meguiar's Quik Detailers to remove, provided you use proper technique, including:

premium microfiber towels such as Meguiar's X2020 Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel
a light/gentle touch (no aggressive agitation or heavy pressure)
flip and fold your towels often to expose a clean side
work in the shade on a cool surface
an even mist of quick detailer across the section to be addressed.

If the dust is what you would consider more than "light" it would be best to use a traditional wash technique or an alternative wash technique.

Light dust is typically defined as 24 - 48 hours worth of accumulation, but of course each garage and outside environment is going to be different. Use your best judgement, and if you would like, perform a test spot, and inspect after with proper lighting.
