Hi arthuruscg,

Ultimate Leather Detailer is a spray liquid form, so in that regard, much different than the thick balm style of Ultimate Leather Balm. Ultimate Leather Detailer also has much more cleaning ability than Ultimate Leather Balm, but not too much cleaning that it cannot be used on a frequent basis for maintenance. Ultimate Leather Detailer was really built for frequent maintenance of automotive leather along with durable polymer protection. Ultimate Leather Balm will offer much more conditioning than Ultimate Leather Detailer, so if your main focus is to condition, i.e. you have leather than responds well to dedicated leather conditioners, i.e. becomes soft, supply, etc., then a product like our Ultimate Leather Balm or G18616 Gold Class Leather Conditioner would be great choices.

Ultimate Leather Detailer does focus more on "protection" with it's polymer package & UV Protectants, and although Ultimate Leather Balm does offer protection, it mainly focuses on conditioning. The polymer package in Ultimate Leather Detailer helps minimize re-soiling of the leather material also.
