After the presentation and tea break, we chose a car with tonnes of swirls for live demonstration on consumer products.
This is the initial finish condition. Cob-webbing!
http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/829DSC04156a.jpg
The finish was rough to touch. Firstly we cleaned up the bonnet with Speed Detailer then proceed with clay.
http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/829IMG_0788a.jpg
Being the most useful tool in our tool bucket, Scratch-X was chosen to be applied by hand.
http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/829IMG_0791a.jpg
Next, it was followed up with NXT Tech Wax.
http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/829IMG_0793a.jpg
Immediately we could see the improvement in gloss on the right side, as compared to left side which was untouched.
http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/829IMG_0800a.jpg
Majority of the swirls are removed...by hand.

Looks good!

This car was prepped 48 hours before the event was held. And this is the result of the car after all the surface prep and first layer of M21 application.

While the clinic was going on, we had a small tutorial on rotary buffer handling on the other side.
The guru, William, showed me how to buff using M85/W-4000.

Later Matthew realised that I was practicing on his car with M85. :D

It was a great event overall and thanks to all the support from JFFC members. Special thanks to Hypercoat, Toyoink (Glasurit Distributor) and AutoDetailer.

Those are the best Honda Fit I've ever seen! We have plenty of those here, as well as the Hyundai you have, altough I must admit they don't look as good as yours! :xyxthumbs

Hey MandarinaRacing, thanks for your kind words! I enjoy participating in these sort of events over the weekend. My ride is the poorest among the Jazz/Fit crowd...99.9% stock condition. Haha.

I'm so jealous! It's darn cold here and you must be loving it in the south east!

Paulvr4, we have temperature between 80F to 100F, it's quite hard to buff the car often. Polishes tend to gum up easily.

Hi MonsterPink, thanks for the kind comment. That was taken more than a year ago with an old Sony DSC-P51 2MP camera. I would think more important is the skill to operate the camera.
Lately we have the latest detailing clinic conducted for Suzuki Swift Club. You can view it at http://www.meguiars.com.my/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=1726. Thanks!
