    I don't recommend doing that, you will deteriorate your car paint if it's in a very bad condition better repaint it. Just polish it with the yellow pad

    I wouldnt want to spend the time by hand, then buy a DA next month.

    Autogeek has some good videos on youtube with DA's, and may help with

    Polishing the gearbox cover (PlastiX?)

    Hi,

    There's a scuff mark on the gearbox cover (on the "P" and "R") which I want to remove by using my DA with a 4"

    Yeah, some sort of iron and/or tar remover spray would probably be a good idea.

    And then removing swirls by hand will not be easy at all...
