For some cars it is period correct to have swirls in the finish. For example the 60's Corvettes should have some swirls rather than a clear coat finish look.

If the pictures cam out, I was on stage most of yesterday and I took some shots of the lights themselves.

It's amazing how great the car can look on camera but in person you folks would die if you could see the actual condition of most of finishes on these cars... The cars themselves are beautiful, it's the swirls in the paint that are unacceptable for cars of this caliber. A big part of the problem however is truly the lights as they bring out each and every swirl and scratch to the trained eye.

I was on stage from about 12:30pm to 4:30pm when I finally had to leave as my camera battery died and I ran out of memory. I must say however it was an absolute blast being on stage where all the action was!

If you look at the below photo, you'll notice I'm not shooting towards the stage, but off the stage...

See the media photographer sitting on the speaker on stage... yeah... I'm going to try get his seat today!

I'll do my best, I'm in my hotel room right now uploading some photos from Friday and pretty quick here I've got to head back over and try to get back up on stage for today's cars.

I'm not sure what kind of lights are in the light housings, but I snagged a couple of photos...
