      Hi,

Wondering if the M16 which looks hardened can still be used? Is that the original appearance?

      Thanks

Thanks Bernard78....how long can we keep M16? will it 'expire' or dry-up? if not, i may get a few cans to keep since it's discontinued.

Any of you who think yours is dried up or has turned too blue to use, can send your can to me for test/evaluation. If I can't use it, I'll be sure and send it back to you

PS That was a joke; sheesh!

Is that a real M16 or a toy one. Looks like a real thing though.

I have never seen a wax with an expired date printed on it b4, so my guess is as good as yours.

                  Re: Color of the M1611

It's an Armalite M15A2. Those are real cartridges in the magazines, too. I live in Wyoming, so it's O.K.

Very low crime rate here. I really can't explain it.

Look what I found. I think I know why M16 is illegal in California:

CHAPTER 2.3. ROBERTI-ROOS ASSAULT WEAPONS CONTROL ACT OF 1989
                  ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

(3) The Streetsweeper type S/S Inc. SS/12. (d) Any firearm declared by the court pursuant to Section 12276.5 to be an assault weapon that is specified as an assault weapon in a list promulgated pursuant to Section 12276.5. (e) The term "series" includes all other models that are only variations, with minor differences, of those models listed in subdivision (a), regardless of the manufacturer. (f) This section is declaratory of existing law, as amended, and a clarification of the law and the Legislature's intent which bans the weapons enumerated in this section, the weapons included in the list promulgated by the Attorney General pursuant to Section 12276.5, and any other models which are only variations of those weapons with minor differences, regardless of the manufacturer. The Legislature has defined assault weapons as the types, series, and models listed in this section because it was the most effective way to identify and restrict a specific class of semiautomatic weapons.

If I still lived in California, I wouldn't use the M16 designation for anything.

According to what Mike posted, M16 doesn't comply with California/Orange County regulations. Meguiar's has chosen not to make it available anywhere in the USA. If they are still making it, they should reconsider selling it in parts of the Uniterd States where citizens still have freedom.

Maybe we ought to send a can of M16 to these people and show it's wax not a weapon.

Don't bother, they're too busy with socialist engineering. Let's not forget the Governator actually entertained a bill that would have outlawed washing your car at home. (Naturally, it was sponsored by the California Association of Car Wash Owners.)

Trust me. It's easier to move to a State that respects 2nd Amendment rights. The Wyoming State Constitution prohibits cities and counties from passing any gun laws. I seriously believe that the fact that EVERYBODY here in Wyoming is armed is a big reason the politicians haven't outlawed car washing or Meguiar's M16.
