what rotary would you guys recommend? dewalt, makita, porter cable and so on. I go with the motto "you get what you pay for" so money is not an issue. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I doubt anybody will ever agree on which buffer's "the best". Everybody has their personal favorite. I think most guys like whatever they were originally trained on the best.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the popular units (except maybe the Milwaukee, darn fine machine but really heavy).
My personal preference, and I don't have anywhere near the experience of a lot of guys here, would be a Dynabrade or Metabo.
