  • Rotary or PC

Alright guys, little backround: Was a detailer at a large collision center for a year and a half. Have only experience with a rotary buffer and was in charge or paint inspection and more so on the paintside as defects, dull, ect. I've been browsin here for a good while and just registered. Being in the bodyshop many products we could not use as they had silicone. Anyways my main question, I have seen on here alot about the PC random orbital polisher and did search but didn't find anything. What are the main difference and advantages/disadvantages to a rotary and a pc. Is it just as easy with a rotary to get a nice swirl free finish? I read that sometimes a PC can't do all that the rotary can do and if one of the main things about the Pc being that it's easy for newbies or less dangerous I'd rather have a rotary. I want something that will create the nice swirl free shine but be able to still remove nice size scratches and such.
