It has been my experience that most marring happens during the wash.

BTW, the NXT Car Wash is on sale at Meijer's for $3.99!

Has anyone done a comparison between Hyper Wash and Super Soap? As far as cleaning abiltites, rinsing and lubricity? I've searched and can't find anything definite. I currently use NXT and like it but I can see "ghosting" with it on some surfaces. I like the suds and cleaning power of NXT. I have soft water so I'm not concerned with the softening abilities. I'd like to try either HW or SS but don't want to buy an entire gallon and not like it.

Hey Mike, any luck with this? I'm using NXT but am considering one of the Detailer lines soaps.

Interesting thread. My NXT Wash is going to finish up soon, and I'm thinking of trying the Detailer's Line stuffs. Hope someone can chime in and give the right recommendations, maybe Mike Phillips can help out? I would be happy to pay extra for the Detailer's Line stuffs if it's better in terms of suds, cleaning power and most importantly, lubricity over NXT Wash.
yep, so little posts, 'cause you guys have have made it easier for me, thanks!

I am using the DC Car Wash and just purchased some Gold Class wash this past week. This will be the first time I have used GC wash, but I have been happy with DC wash. Surely GC wash will have a higher cleaner power compared to the DC wash. I thought about going for the Detailer's Line of wash, but I can't buy it around here and I wash too many cars to buy alot online. If the GC wash holds out better, I will stick with for the time being. This is an interesting discussion about the wash and will look forward to other's opinions on it.

DC wash was my 'goto' wash but soon as I used Gold Class a few years back there was no turning back... You won't be disappointed with GC! I have also heard that Carwash Shampoo & Conditioner is a excellent wash with very good lubricity, I have not used it but its on my list of things to get.

Gold Class is very very good.

It also should be gentler than Nxt, if I am understanding the bottle correctly.

Thanks Murr1525. It seems like GC and NXT Wash are at the same level, but GC is a wee bit more gentle than NXT. Mind explaining to me : gentle as in what?

I love my NXT Wash to bits : a lot of suds ( I love suds! ), cleaning power is good ( for a car that's parked outside 24/7 and during the daytime, is parked right beside a 6 lane major road ) and doesn't remove much wax ( well, I acutally wax with NXT Paste wax around once a week! ).

A local friend of mine ( his nick here is zey ) just bought a bottle of Shampoo Plus, might ask him how it performs compared to GC Wash he's using currently.

Well, here is what I think between Nxt and Gold Class:

Nxt seems to clean better, but leave a bit rougher feeling of a finish behind.

Gold Class leaves a much slicker finish than Nxt, but might not get quite the same deep dirt.

I dont seem to have much trouble with Shampoo Plus, seems closer to Gold Class.

                      Mike,

I know you are a busy guy, with all of your classes, the forums, and travel, but could you possibly let us know what you found out? I have been looking at the three different detailers line washes, and see nothing online other than the standard song and dance for selling purposes. I know Meguiars says that the detailer line is only for detailers, but even detailers would need a little help figuring out what to use among your products...

I use GC right now, and am very impressed. Good suds, good lubricity, and it really brightens the car finishes after it is rinsed and dried off. I would love to do as good or better with something in the detailers line so that I can buy it in greater quantities, and have less little bottles hanging around.

So, how 'bout it? Can we have some hints at what the differences are between these products?
