    Cool Hello from Northern CA

My name is Pat and I go by the screen name Stu Cool as that is the name of our 1953 Studebaker. It came from people saying "That's too cool" when they saw it. I combined that with STUdebaker. Our car has quite a bit of custom body work, every panel has been modified in some way. This last winter I gave her a heart transplant, taking out the old Chevy 350 and replacing it with an LS1 from a 2000 TransAm. I am joining the forum because I want to learn to take care of the paint on the car myself. It is a single stage PPG Concept that needs to have some of the swirls and scratches treated.

If anyone here goes to cruises and shows arond Sacramento, or makes it to Hot August Nights, say hi if you see us.

    Pat

Thanks for the reply and input. You can see a journal of my LS1 swap here:

Looking forward to getting to work on the finish now. I have a PC 7424 on the way.

    Hi Pat,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

I love your car! I've always really like the old Studebakers especially when they're hotrodded!

I have a friend in Washington with similar Studebaker that we used to cruse Goodguys shows with, here's his car and my old Milk Truck.

We'll do our best to help you remove the swirls from your car's paint and it's great to you take ownership of the paint polishing process as no one will ever care as much about your car's paint as you will.

By the way, I took the liberty of adding your photo to your gallery here,

    http://www.meguiarsonline.com/galler...=500&password=

As you can see we don't allow anyone to "Attach File" on this forum, if you want to include a photo you have to upload it to our Gallery, or have it hosted somewhere else on the Internet and then Insert the image using the IMG tags above the message box.

I added it to your message above.

If you ever get to where you want to learn how to work with photos inside the vbulletin environment, (this forum is a vBulletin forum), which will apply to just about any discussion forum software, then here's a series of how-to articles I wrote that will show you how to do this.

How to put pictures into your posts
