  • Can I make scratch x more effective?

I've got a metallic black Audi TT that has some swirls/micromarring around the rear spoiler and licence plate.

I've tried applying scratch x several times and it doesn't seem to make a dent on the rock hard paint.

I've been using the regular applicators but was wondering if there was any other applicator that might improve the cutting power?

Using a piece of Terry cloth towel will give you more bite. Try wrapping your foam applicator with it. That shoulld help distribute the pressure of your fingers a little better than just using the towel alone.

Thanks mate, already read them though!

Put simply, scratch x in my hands isn't removing the scratches and I don't want to pay out for a PC - here in the UK it costs around $370-400 to import a PC+pads+get a transformer for UK voltage, why makes it a serious outlay IMHO.

As such I'm wondering if a more abrasive pad such as a Sonus SFX may be more effective in 'my' case.

Thanks for the tip about the terry cloth jmakado, I'll give that a go next.
