I saw that transport plane (Globemaster III I think) flying at the Wings Over Pittsburgh Air Show. That was one of the wildest things I have ever seen. You would think seeing the Blue Angels would be the best part of the show, but seeing that thing fly was insane.
And who parked their plane on a car and their boat on a beach....

I think the GlobeMaster might replace the KC135 Tanker. I believe it a tanker/cargo plane.

The C-17 is actually the replacement for the C-141. The C-141 fleet used up most of its remaining airframe life during the first Gulf War. Think of the C-141 as the little brother of the C-5, as both are jets and built by Lockheed. The C-130, also built by Lockheed is a turboprop, and fits into a different niche.Comment
