An amazing community that attracts people of all ages to celebrate all things laconically Australian and the icon of the Ute.

    History of the event
On October 2, 1999, Deniliquin wrote itself into history claiming the Guinness Book of Records title for the largest parade of legally registered utes in the world.

An amazing 2839 drivers took part, clearly establishing Deniliquin as the ute capital of the world.
A new world record bid has been held as part of the annual Play on the Plains Festival each September/October long weekend since then, bringing more and more utes and visitors to our town every year.

Current record Ute Count is 6,172

In 2004 the World Record Ute Muster Committee introduced the unique and highly successful addition to the Festival being the World Record Bonds Blue Singlet Muster. A feat that had never been attempted before until the 2004 Count being 1328 people wearing blue singlets. Since then the official Deni Bonds Blue singlet has been selling like hot cakes throughout Australia and is popping up overseas and along with the ute has achieved legendary status.
Imagine a sea of people wearing their favourite blue singlet, all lined up for the new World Record Blue Singlet Count where history will be made yet again with the number to beat from 2005 of 1,474.

Current record for Blue singlet Count is 1474
