    marine line Water spot remover

    Hi

I was looking at the products from the marine line @ the meguiar's site and asked myself:

could it be possible to use this same product on a clear coat? or is it very aggressive?

The Marine Hard Water Spot Remover M47 was designed and tested to be used on gel coated surfaces only.

We would not recommend using it on a clear coat.

For an automotive paint surface, it the water spot is "above surface" (deposits) clay would be the best solution. If the water spot is "below surface" (etch) you will need to use some form of liquid paint cleaner. Either one of these or even in some case both may be needed for a automotive clear.
