    1967 Mini Cooper

This is my brother's '67 Mini.

This is usually a garage queen (weekend driver) but since his daily driver broke down and has been in someone's house getting fixed (3 months now) he had to take this to work. So it's got dirty real quick driving long distance everyday....

The paint condition is actually pretty well taken care of since this is the only car that would fit in our garage....

Start with a wash with NXT.

Since we got this car, we prob. only waxed it twice and it's been kept clean after each drive with QD. And Look at what the QD did to the paint!!! Water Bubbles!!!

    All Rinsed...

    Wiped Down...

    Found some light swirls...

Got too busy with the DA so didnt take any "in process" pix.
    But look at the result!!

    Couple steps back....

Girlfriend dropped by to get her car washed... so I put her to work.
Putting on 1st layer of #26. (please excuse for the bad pix)

After I washed her car and finished wiping off the 2nd coat of #26.
    She's done!

    Reflection!!!

    Blue Star!

The wheel cap happen to be right-side up!

    Couple Steps back!

    Please excuse the messy garage.....

And finally! Here is she tucked in the garage.

    Products Used:
Multi-Piece Wheel Cleaner (to be on the safe side)
    No-Touch Tire Shine
    M80 with DA & W8006 Pad(2 passes)
    #7 (By Hand)
    #26 (2 coats by Hand)
    StoneGuard Invisible Glass

    Time: 3 hrs.

This car was fun to work on, except my non-car guys will probably think I'm a NUT to work on a Mini for 3 hrs.

    Hope you guys like it.

As I said on ShowCarGarage.com the work is fantastic! Blue is the BEST color for a MINI or Mini!

Even though my latest MINI is black!

    Great work!

    Thanks for the comments guys!

When I get a chance, I'll take a day shot of the car under the sun.

    Re: 1967 Mini Cooper

For the pinstriping do you pay attention to it at all? Do you just go over it with the PC, or do you tape ot off, or don't tape it, just try not to go over it too much? (from your pictures it seems you do not tape it off) Does it seem to be a problem to you at all?

I love that color! Great job
