  • Please Enable RSS for vBulletin

I know this isn't a code mistake, but it would be excellent if you could enable RSS feeds for vBulletin.

This way, users can access new posts directly. It can be enabled in the Admin Options / External Data Provider / Enable RSS Syndication

Re: Please Enable RSS for vBulletin

If you use Firefox or IE7, both have native support for RSS. Basically, if a site supports RSS, you can add it as a bookmark. Within the bookmark, you will find links to specific topics. You can click on any link without having to go to the site and browse through all topics first. I'll post an example.

Re: Please Enable RSS for vBulletin

Okay, here's the example. If MOL had RSS enabled, I can add specific forums as bookmarks, say Detailing 101. When I click the bookmark, I would get a list of new topics. I can click on a link to do directly to that topic instead of going to the forum itself and reading all topic titles.

That is very interesting, thanks for the explanation.... I just started using IE7 a few weeks ago and have yet to take advantage of all its features.

OK, now I want it enabled!

Thank you very much Mike...Happy New Year!!

I set up vBulletin for our internal customer care at the company I work for so I'm fairly familiar with the features. I think RSS will be a good use to more and more people on this site as RSS gains more user acceptance.
